The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is part of EU law on data protection and privacy. It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. As a communications carrier, Cloudonix only stores legally mandatory data about the existence of a call. No information is collected or stored about end-users. The only information collected is via our mailing list, or information that is necessary for customer billing and technical support as provided by our direct customers/partners for those purposes.
California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is similar to GDPR as it also deals with privacy of end-user data. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) is designed to keep patient information secure. As Cloudonix does not store or process the information that traverses our network it is very easy to sign a Business Associate Addendum (BAA) to keep the communications HIPAA compliant.
